Summary
“Sorry, are you heading in to the party?” The kid asks, wiping his eyes on his sleeve.
Levi stares for a moment, before realizing that he actually does expect him to answer eventually, you know, like a normal human and not someone trying to cope with being struck over the head by Cupid’s crowbar.
“Er no.” Great, just great. “You’re crying.”
The young man lets out a squeak and crumples into his sweater a little further. “Sorry.”
“I don’t give a shit if you’re crying.” Fuck, no not like that. It’s only after the words are out that Levi realizes just what a complete and utter asshole they make him sound like.

When Levi goes to tell off his neighbors due to their hosting of a college frat party with music so loud his ears threaten to bleed, the last thing he expects to encounter is an angelic, teary-eyed stranger sitting out in the cold.

Summary
Eren lives by the ocean in a peaceful, untroubled world with his classmates. He studies, dreams of going out to sea on the boats to see what lies beyond the horizon, spends his afternoons by the water's edge with his friends, and sneaks out at night more often than he should.
His greatest ambition is to join the crew of the Wings of Freedom, but after making a disastrous first impression on Captain Levi, joining his company will be easier said than done. Despite the insults and the bruising, Eren is determined and he vows to do whatever it takes to impress the captain before the ship is out of drydock. -

Summary
By the time Eren is seventeen, he's a mess. He gets into fights, therapy just pisses him off, and he's sick and tired of endless dreams about dying friends. He's a got a family, but he remembers a different family, and a mother who died and he remembers failing, over and over again, to save people.
And then one of those people turns up in Eren's hometown, and nothing can ever be the same again.
