    Summary

The crime is that they cannot both be free, and neither of them chose that; it was the condition they were born into, the self and its shadow, the face and the face behind glass.

Which one of us is the imitation? And then, arriving after: does it matter?

He doesn't know which side of the glass he's on.

    Summary

“It might be a trap,” began Agent Bronze, eyeing the slip of paper with great suspicion.

“Maybe, but not necessarily,” said Agent Grapes, who’d stuffed his pale and trembling fingertips into his pockets. “Lots of Disasters start and end with these kinds of instructions. They're usually straightforward like that: to survive, you follow the rules.”

He lowered his eyes. “The problem is always in the instructions themselves.”

“Not always,” said Agent Choi. Grapes looked up, a little caught off guard, and met his gaze midair. Choi could read a strange emotion in his wide black eyes: something sad, something he recognised in his own visage in the mirror, something he saw in every Bureau agent he'd ever met, in all the good people he’d lost. Pre-emptive grief.

    Summary

With how much my mind had gone through it was only the matter of time before my body gives in to the unknown essense of my existence in this twisted world I do not belong in. I just didn't expect it to happen so quickly. Not when I was the closest to finding a spot for myself in the darkness that welcomed me for the first time since my story here begun.

And now, I can not even say if I am the character or a part of the universe I dread.

    Summary

“I was born in summer, so I guess I was meant to like it. The cold never agreed with me.” Choi shares, out of the blue. His hand drifts to his neck, scratching the edge of the pink scar absentmindedly.

“…Uh.” Soleum swallows. “Yeah. Me too." He corrects, "I always got sick in winter, as a kid. I still don’t like the cold even though I grew out of it.”

“Hm.” Choi returns to his idle paper folding, cutting strips and folding them nonsensically.

Soleum lets out a breath he didn’t know he was holding.

No matter how you look at it, Choi wasn’t that type of person to warm up to a stranger so easily. Even with Soleum’s little knowledge of him, there is quite literally no reasonable explanation other than…

    …It’s quite obvious, really.

He’s trying to catch me off guard.

Kim Soleum solves problems and conflicts in prison, Choi is a problematic prisoner, and they're really not supposed to get along. There are only so many things you can do with broken glass.

    Summary

The man slumped beside his door could hardly be mistaken for a statue, though it was true, irritatingly, that he was beautiful enough to be one, even in the thoroughly undignified position he had somehow managed to achieve: sprawled belly-up across the concrete, legs bent into the shape of an upside-down Y, his arms loosely bound in ribbons of silken fabric that looked suspiciously as though they had been torn from the hems of his own clothes.

He was so unthinkingly beautiful that Saheon found himself staring for a moment, soupy and dizzy from the climb, wondering idly how he might look in a properly fitted western suit.

Certainly better than whatever ridiculous cosplay he seemed to be wearing now.

There's a man at his doorstep who claims to be a "god". Baek Saheon's utterly sick of it.
