Summary
Book 1 of the series.
Bad at summaries, but this is basically a canon rewrite where Arthur knows about Merlins magic from episode 1 and this particular book is only season 1.
Arthur wants to be the protective, scary boyfriend that everyone fears, but that is actually Merlin. Arthur is very quick to be intrigued, but Merlin wants nothing to do with him, which does change.
Merlin is trying to rewrite destiny and change the route, not the outcome, which basically wages a war against the Gods and Fates. He soon learns that Arthur Pendragon isn’t just a prince, or his other part of destiny. He was something other, something rare.
Merlin is Arthur's anchor of self-restraint, a light in his life, much like how I imagine Ygraine was for Uther.

Summary
Leaving meant that we would get a chance to live. But if we are being honest we have not really been living. We would have to get new names, a new place and never look back. We are both so tired of running even if it means living. We both know that we will not make it much longer on our own. We are better together but we are still not strong enough to survive much longer with the way we are going.
(Or, what would happen if The Foxes had two sets of twins instead of one?)

Summary
Arthur Pendragon was not a sorcerer.
No.
He was something a lot worse. An Omega.
He was a creature born of magic, made of magic and he was destined to be the other half of a sorcerer one day. Omegas are the human version of a familiar, animal familiars becoming less common as time passed due to the tell-tale signs of sorcery was being able to talk and control animals. He was a conduit for magic, he did not have any of his own, but his body craved magic as sustenance. He would weaken over time and only being exposed to it would bring back his strength. Once a month he would go into a transference state as Gaius explained it where he would be more susceptible to receive magic and strengthen it. As an omega he would be able to channel his sorcerers magic and make them stronger, he could be the difference between being able to grow a plant or to summon a whole forest. The power that was inside of him…it was a whole new league that had never been seen in Camelot before.
