Summary
[M/n] had allowed himself to believe that misfortune had finally loosened its grip after Batman delivered his cold rejection on that ill-fated night. Unfortunately, trouble had not departed; it had merely altered its approach, arriving now in the disarming form of the charming, airy, and infuriatingly frivolous Bruce Wayne.
“I think sausages should just be called hotdogs since they basically taste the same,” Bruce remarked casually from beside him, taking an enthusiastic bite of the hotdog in question as though he had not just uttered complete nonsense.
“Excuse me?” [M/n] turned slowly, his expression turning into open disbelief as he studied the billionaire’s face for signs of head trauma. Surely no man of reasonable intelligence would say such slander.
Bruce blinked at him with feigned innocence. “I said, I think sausages should—”
“I heard what you said, Mr. Wayne. I heard it perfectly clear,” [M/n] interrupted, his tone tightening despite his effort to remain composed. “What I am struggling to comprehend is the reasoning behind your statement. What are your basis for concluding that two distinctly prepared and seasoned foods deserve identical classification?”

Summary
A slightly different take on the 'realistic' self-insert: drop a modern woman into Middle-earth - and what do they see? Straight teeth, soft clear skin unused to labour, long well-kept hair, and clothes stitched so evenly they look impossible to have been done by hand. Both Eldar and Edain agree, these are unmistakable signs of aristocratic heritage. Add in a handful of Sindarin and Quenya, and her unnervingly accurate foresight - a gift of Elros’ line - and it’s no surprise people start making… assumptions.
So when the universe decides you’re Princess Tindómiel, who are you to argue? (Except you do argue. They just don’t listen.)
Isekai/self-insert with the canon doing allllll the heavy lifting and slotting you straight into the legend. Starts years before LotR, about a decade pre-Hobbit.
Inspired by the brilliant Home with the Fairies by the amazing I_Mushi.

Summary
She wakes with a of ghastly yellow chiffon curtain above her, with horrendous and large bedazzled flowers winking down in the faint light.
…
She looks in the mirror above a vanity that looks more like a desk, and Nicola Coughlan’s gorgeous face looks back at her. Pale and drawn face, red curls disheveled. Gauze wrapped around her head. She blinks. Once, twice at the pretty image. Moves her hand, and yes, Nicola’s hand moves with her. She touches at the gauze and has to wince at the pain in her head.
Or a very confused blogger extraordinaire wakes up as Penelope Featherington before the start of season one. Of course, in the nature of izekai, the story does not stay as it should.

Summary
After earning her psychology degree, Maren Hartwell takes a quiet night-security job at the Metropolitan Museum of Art—until a late shift turns impossible. While examining a mysterious Regency portrait, Maren is pulled through the canvas and awakens in Bridgerton House, feverish and disoriented, rescued by the family themselves. It is now post-season two London, and Maren—dressed in strange clothes, speaking oddly, and lacking any history—becomes an instant curiosity.
To protect her, the Bridgertons present her as a distant ward from America, though Maren offers only the vaguest details of her home in New York. As she recovers, she must learn the rigid rules of the ton while keeping her true origins secret. Her modern insight, sharp wit, and unsettlingly direct manner captivate society but also attract suspicion—including from Lady Whistledown, who senses a story in the strange girl with no past.
Determined not to disrupt existing romances or alter the lives she knows too well, Maren searches quietly for a way home—before the truth she cannot explain brings ruin to the family who saved her.

Summary
After she accidentally trips into Adrien and apologizes about "falling for him," Marinette learns that he's no match for cheesy pick-up lines--whether they were unintended or not. And while she finds it flattering that he turns into a flustered mess with only a few words, Marinette comes to regret making him uncomfortable. That is, until she learns he's Chat Noir. At which point the phrase "just deserts" becomes a permanent fixture in her everyday plans.
A story in which Adrien is flustered, Marinette is smooth as glass at dropping lines, and Chat Noir gets the romance he was always asking for--even if he doesn't quite know how to handle it.
