Summary
This story follows Andy's and Emily's relationship throughout the years.
It all begins when Andy and Emily randomly run into each other in a pub in London, two years after Andy left Runway out of nowhere. Everything seems perfect, like they finally had the chance to work out their things until a big misunderstanding separates them once more.
Ten years later, life reunites them again. This time with a lot of resentment and unsolved issues in the middle, but also this longing of what could have been and all this love that never fully abandoned them.
If only they would talk to each other and realise the version of the story they had doesn't match with the reality.Only then, maybe, they could have their happy ending.

Due to an administrative error, Runway's records have listed Andrea Sachs and Emily Charlton as spouses for the last eight months.
Fixing it would destroy both of their careers.
Keeping it means getting married.
Neither option is ideal.Modernised AU. Andy has been at runway for about 9 months and nothing about Paris etc that happened in the film has occurred.

Between impossible phone calls, Miranda Priestly's absurd requests, and endless days at Runway, arguing seemed to have become their main job.

Andy left Runway a few months ago. But she could not let go of certain things.
"Andy felt something in her stomach and realized that if she was going to see Emily alone, she needed a drink or two to be able to survive. But being completely realistic, there were big chances that she would be murdered by Emily. If not physically, she did have the ability to wield her words as a knife."
