Summary
The exhaustion was creeping into his bones in a way that Tooru didn’t even feel when he was at his worst in his adolescence. The feelings had been building since he arrived in this new country alone, but now everything was hitting him like a truck. Exhaustion, burnout, and a third thing that felt as if it was consuming his soul.
Guilt. Shame. And a hint of regret for uprooting his life to follow a dream that felt like it was getting further and further away.

Summary
Meeting Tooru was like the beginning of a song Hajime never wanted to end. That first “Iwa-chan!” Tooru ever uttered while pulling him by the hand to the swings began a symphony that hajime didn’t understand at 5 years old, but at 14, 18, 20, and 27 he began to understand the rhythm more and more. What began as a short little melody slowly evolved into an ode to his best friend, and over the years became a reverent hymn that captured every piece of love and devotion that hajime had for this boy. He was the blue hour. That fleeting moment after the sunset before the stars came out where the sky was a deep blue that encapsulated everything around it in a rich shadow.

Summary
Waking up on the ground next to a headstone with his name on it was not something Jason ever thought would happen to him. It’s an incredibly jarring experience too, waking up with a death date etched into stone but being almost half a decade past that date and very much alive. The last memory Jason had was the maniacal smile of the Joker above him, a crowbar raised and a look of pure evil in his eyes. That crowbar was meant to kill, and kill it did.

Summary
"How old do you think you are, Jason? You’re an adult, too old to be continuing to act like this!” Bruce snapped, years of his own resentment and pent up emotion spilling over. He knew immediately after it came from his mouth that he would regret saying that.
“Nineteen.” Jason muttered, quietly enough that it was inaudible to anyone else besides him.
“What was that? I can’t hea-” Bruce starts before Jason interjects.
“I’M NINETEEN.” Jason shouts, whipping around to finally face his father. The words tore out of his throat like they had been trying to escape for ages, finally breaking from the prison of his vocal folds, they hit Bruce harder than any punch he ever could have thrown at him as he stalked up to his father, jabbing his finger in his face.

Summary
The attack was bad. Worse than anyone had ever seen. Dozens, if not hundreds of titans made it through the wall and attacked any and everyone in their path, leaving nothing but death and destruction in their wake. Hundreds were missing, and even more were dead.
Fortunately, Eren was eventually able to seal the hole in the wall, but before he was able to, it cost hundreds of people their lives. Soldiers and civilians alike.
Out of all those people, there was one person missing that was haunting Jean to his core.
