"Thank you," Ser Duncan said, then immediately amended, "thank Your Grace...ness. Seven fucks, I'm getting another drink." And he whirled away into the throng before Baelor could say a word.

Maybe — but sitting there at the table, seeing the spark in Butch's eye and the upturned corners of Etta's mouth, the idea of the three of them together strikes Sundance as the most sensible thing in the world.

It’s always been a joke, a little passing comment, and he’d sigh and roll his eyes and Butch would give him that same old grin, those same bright eyes, and they’d stumble on along through whatever they happened to be in the middle of.
