He was seated under the old plum tree, which shivered in the summer breeze, its shadows dappling the dewy green grass. Fat, rosy fruit swayed from its branches. At a particularly strong gust, one plum dropped, landing with a thud beside the novel sprawled upon his lap. He humoured this turn of fate and decided to take a break from his reading. Sukuna bit into the delicate, sweet flesh of the plum and let his eyes meander to his right, where a means below him he could glance into the servant grounds through the tops of the bamboo trees...The sight was utterly mundane and he may have returned to his book were it not for a flash of pink bobbing amidst the crowd.
How unusual that coloring is, he thought, brighter than his own faintly peach hair. Sukuna looked at the plum in his hand and smiled at the matching shade he saw there. Figuring such a coincidence ought not to go ignored, he arose, brushing off some grass from his robes, the book tucked into his sleeve.
