Summary
(Spoilers for the end of the game)
"Prompto’s self-control reached its limit the moment he stepped onto the roof. Every thought, every emotion he had bottled up since Gralea came back to hit him full-force, and he felt like he was going to be sick. This was just too much, it had to be a nightmare, it just had to be. He was going to wake up, Noctis would be asleep beside him, the sun would be rising, everything and everyone would be fine."
After coming back from Gralea, Prompto learns the hard truth about Noctis' fate. He spends the next ten years trying to move on and accept that even if he ever gets to see Noctis again, he will have to face the future without him.
But then, when everything seems to be over, Noctis is granted a second chance. Feelings are explored as they also try to find their dynamic again after everything that has happened.
Who knows... Maybe the future won't be that bad after all.
