Therefore, Orion knew what to expect from his life. When his heir was born, he simply repeated what his own father did. But then Regulus, his youngest son, was born. Orion had no knowledge of how to deal with a child, which he and his wife had not even planned. He felt like a real father. This feeling overshadowed his expectations and original plans, which could shatter all his ideas about life and reputation. Orion knew what choices he would make when the need arose, and was ready. Orion was Black, after all, and the Blacks did not obey anyone, even if it was about their own relatives.

Summary
Adults are a weird bunch. Reggie can't remember when he comes up with this thought, but it's a fact. Adults don't see the obvious, don't admit their mistakes, forget the most important things. Do all adults just get stupider over the years, honestly? Regulus is a very patient child, but when he constantly hears the quiet singing of a girl who just wanted to be with her family, he realizes that adults sometimes need a push in the right direction. He started doing that when he was four years old when he heard crying in the hallways of the Ministry of Magic. Even he didn't know how powerful the domino effect of his actions would be.
