Summary
Kaveh was a great architect and was known throughout Sumer, but even he had times when he had no clients. It had been like this for two weeks now, so he spent all day at home or in the tavern. He had absolutely no ideas and no inspiration.
When he returned completely drunk, Alhaitham would not let him into the house until he had sobered up a bit. Sometimes he spent a dozen or so minutes there, but sometimes it extended to an hour or two.

Haikaveh but Kaveh run away (drunk) from Sumeru City and finds a new house in the woods and decides to fix it

Summary
Alhaitham wakes up from anesthesia disoriented, amnesia-ridden, and unable to make much sense of the world. He may not be able to remember the beautiful man at his bedside by name, but he has no doubt that he's the love of his life.
The look in Alhaitham’s eyes was entirely unlike the cool, aloof mask he normally wore, usually impenetrable as a brick wall.
“Um - you’re... stupid when you come out from anesthesia, I guess, good to kno-”
“Pretty...” Alhaitham interrupted, eyes soft with adoration as he stared up at Kaveh. “So, so pretty,” he repeated, voice tender and reverential. “Are we married?”
“Are we what? O-of course not,” Kaveh spluttered, far too flustered by Alhaitham’s uncharacteristic sweetness.
Absolute devastation flashed across Alhaitham’s chiseled, handsome features, lips curling downward. He was pouting.
“Why not? Have I... not proposed yet? Damn. Why don’t you let me kiss you, show you why you should marry me. C'mere,” he mumbled groggily, tugging on Kaveh’s hand with surprising strength for someone who’d just awoken from surgery.

“Uh… oh…,” Kaveh looks away from Alhaitham, “Well, we’re roommates. I think you’re very hard to read. I think I understood you really well during our time in the Akademiya, but now not so much.”
“Do you want to understand me?”
“Alhaitham, what is with all of the questions? Why are you asking all of this?”
Alhaitham feels his voice get stuck in his chest. He takes a deep breath, wanting nothing more than wanting to say I’m in love with you–
“What!” Kaveh says, a little too loud for Alhaitham’s ears.
“What?”
