Colin felt like he could barely breathe. Suddenly, she was tempting him in a way he had been tempted by other women. It was the same feeling he got when he met a beautiful woman at a bar or when meeting up with a tinder date.
But this was different, this was Penelope.
“I don’t ignore you on purpose,” he said softly, his voice a bit lower than he expected. Her entire presence was confusing him.
“You have a funny way of showing it.” She leaned her back against the tree, letting out a sigh and pressing her head against the trunk. He was absolutely done for. The way her neck extended, the expanse of her throat just begging for his lips. Her chest still heaving, each inhalation thrusting her breast up where the moonlight was so helpfully casting shadows in all the right dips and bulges, making her look like a siren.
