"Arsene." Loki hitched his fanged greatsword on his shoulder. "God of Shadow." His voice lilted at the end, just shy of a question.
Akira smiled, because that wasn't true. It wasn't a lie, either.
"Loki," he returned, rather than admit he didn't know. Not his own dominion, and certainly not Loki's.
"What's your name?"
Not his title or god-name, the one mortals knew. The one that was more true than any epithet, and certainly not something his enemy should know.
"Akira."
"Akira," Loki repeated the name slowly, testing the sound. His voice dripped down Akira's spine.
Loki smiled, sharper than his sword, and Akira hoped it was because he enjoyed the taste of his name and not because he saw Akira tremble.
"And yours?"
Loki laughed, dropping into a crouch and ready to lunge, sword still indolently slung on his shoulder. "Why don't you try and deserve it?"

Summary
Technoblade wakes up to his little brother standing at his doorway at 3am.
"Nightmare?"
Tommy nods. His eyes are filled with tears.
"Techno-" his voice trembles. "I dreamt I died," the ghost says, sounding every part like the kid he was when he skinned his knee at eight years old. Young and scared.
Technoblade feels his stomach lurch. He holds his tears back with everything he has.
Swallowing his grief down, he smiles lovingly at the young ghost.
"Well- Don't be silly. You're not. You're with me right now, aren't you? Technoblade never dies. And neither do you. You're here right now, with me, alive and well." He presses a kiss into Tommy's curls. It feels like love; it feels like an apology full of guilt.
Or, Tommy dreamt about dying and Techno is just trying to comfort the child that he's alive and well. Problem: Tommy is a ghost. And everything is not as simple as it seems it is.
