Summary
“Eddie, this is Bonnie.” Steve beams, “Bonnie Buckley.”
The last name catches Eddie by surprise but it shouldn’t. Robin and Steve don’t do anything conventionally. Exhibit fucking A: The baby they managed to conceive with a goddamn turkey baster. It’s a pretty good name, Eddie thinks, commends them both for their use of alliteration.
“She definitely sounds like she’s gonna get bitten by a radioactive rabbit or something.”
[Or: Three friends and a baby. Or something.]

Summary
"What about you, Ed?" Lloyd asks, wiping mustard and vinegar from his mustache with a crumpled up wad of napkin. "Got yourself a girlfriend?"
He looks over at his newest hire, seated in the chair to his left, cheeks all puffed out around a mouthful of the best meatball hero in Boston, and arches his eyebrows expectantly.
"Something like that," Ed confirms, though it comes out muffled, half the consonants stripped away by ground beef and mozzarella and a sourdough roll so good it'll make you slap your mother.

Summary
Steve wouldn’t consider himself lonely. Sure, the kids had all gone their separate ways to college and sure, Robin was also long gone in Massachusetts, but he wasn’t lonely. Just…alone. In Hawkins. Which was fine. It meant he got to do things like meet Wayne Munson in the baking aisle on a Friday afternoon and get a kind-of-old second-best friend. Steve wasn't complaining, not even when Wayne kept bringing up his nephew...like a lot. He kind of sounded cool...
Or Steve becomes good friends with Wayne Munson who is more than happy to introduce him to his nephew Eddie.
