With the child returned to his own people, Din Djarin feels adrift. Lost among the stars.
The weight of destiny (in the shape of a famed sword made of dark light, no less) threatens to crash into him at any moment, but Din has had enough of catastrophic fate and galaxy-changing events. He wants peace, or however close to that he can get as a Mandalorian.
He returns to Tatooine. The work there should be reliable, he reasons, and he has allies enough between Mos Eisley and Freetown.
