Summary
There’s a stream running down to the ocean he never seen before, that as they approach and the hum of water grows louder, transforms into shallow pool with spring at the center, sprinkling upwards like a town’s fountain, or maybe more accurately, a reversed waterfall, and dowsing the strewn with eyebrights earth in its spray. Large, flat oval rocks scattered all around are damp, glistening, pearlescent white and shimmering in a whole spectrum of soft pastels. A faint mist gathers just at the edge of those plates, a curtain obscuring the stage before the main actor takes it.
And there they are.Partially concealed by the veil of water particles making it look as if the pure pearls of dew adorn their body, Nika stands in the middle, somehow more aglow than ever before, and with the earthy scent of moist soil they instantly appear as morning incarnate in Zoro’s mind. Divine. Ethereal. Absolutely breathtaking.
Nearly drowned by the sudden storm, Zoro finds himself stranded far away from his crew and captain, on an island in the middle of nowhere where a certain god resides.
An escape might be impossible, and not because of deity’s whims.

Summary
With last strike that knocks a man unconscious Zoro is done and turns to him, and his face scrunches up in the way it sometimes does when Chopper falls asleep during after-dinner game night smashing his nose against the table and sending cards flying with soft snores, or when Nami comes back from shopping with little gifts for everyone, claiming it was just a bonus she got for her good looks. Or when Usopp would go and on about one of his special adventures till he got so tangled up in it he started sputtering with a tongue out and flailing around like a fish pulled out of water.
It’s the face he makes when he thinks something is cute.
Well, Luffy’s not. He’s just small at the moment, and will be normal in another, and is about to remark on that, but there are more shouts coming from the other side of the street—they can beat them too if they’re that eager, but then Luffy gets the idea that running away would be more fun than a repeat of this nothing-fight (anything would be, really), and so he sends Zoro a look— and his swordsman rolls his eyes but sheathes the swords anyway, and begins trotting in some direction of his choosing.
Getting lost with Zoro is always the best.

Summary
And then in a barely audible whisper, that would mix with the ocean if they weren’t that close, “He sounded so sad Zoro, I had no idea what to do.”
Something in Zoro twists, that little overprotective thread winding through and squeezing his stomach and lungs. He does recall Luffy’s voice as the wax was solidifying around him, but he just sounded appropriately angry to his ears, unapologetically booming as always.
Even on the scaffold about to be executed, he laughed Death into face. (And hell, that’s something he doesn’t wanna think too much about. The sight still sometimes haunts his dreams.)
Sad Luffy is just beyond his comprehension.
“…Well, uh, you figured it out. That’s what counts.”
At that Usopp chuckles, a dark, humorless thing shaping it, and Zoro already can tell he’ll hate it. “Yeeeah. Know what worked surprisingly well? Like a charm? Drowning.” -

Summary
Sensing a good tale from miles away like the talented artisan he is, Brook picks up the violin and gently brushes the bow against it, shaping the melody as Robin starts the tale.
“Well, it is said that up until about 30 years ago, there was a rumor of a great treasure hidden somewhere in the depths of these forests and appearing only at the crack of dawn when first sun rays shone through the dew. The shimmering droplets were meant to guide to the gold, jewels, pearls, and most importantly, a map to the place with riches far greater, dwarfing those found around here.” She leans forward and props her chin on a hand, sparing a quick, soft glance to where Chopper’s eyes erupt with stars before continuing.
With Wano truly far and gone behind their backs, the Strawhats find themselves a new island to explore.

Summary
“…B-brook?” He manages to stutter— to no avail.
The skull-face doesn’t react to the name, not a flicker of understanding passing through it. Instead, the apparition reaches out, a scythe materializing in its limb, blade glistening despite the lack of moonlight in the overcast sky. And it swings it. Zoro tenses, eye subconsciously closing, ready to take the blunt force of the attack and live through it, because he has to get up and see the end of Luffy’s battle for himself. Be there before his idiot captain does something stupid and— and Zoro too can be selfish and stubborn, and if that means dragging him out of brink of death himself, then-
“You know, when someone is dying, they usually don’t make plans for what to do after.”AKA third out of three times Zoro almost dies (plus one he actually does), OR Four times he lives for Luffy
