"Okay, just please tell me you eat more than instant ramen," Taki's voice wavers slightly, and his eyebrows are knit together in such genuine concern that Jo starts to feel a little bad.
"I do!" he assures, and Taki sighs in instant relief. "I eat rice with every meal."
Quiet. Taki's face falls again. "Oh, Jo…"
jo's neighbor is cute, warm, and has a beautiful smile. he's also deeply dissapointed in jo's kitchen habits

Summary
Nicholas had cornered him in the practice room and whispered against his ear: “You should stop looking at me like that if you don’t want problems.” Taki had made the mistake of answering. “Maybe I do.” That sentence had been haunting both of them ever since. Now Nicholas pushed himself off the doorway and walked closer. Slow. Predatory. Beautiful in a way that felt unfair to ordinary people. “You nervous for tonight?” he asked. “No.” “Another lie.” Taki scoffed, trying to move around him.

Summary
“So is the attitude problem just a figure skater thing, then?”
Taki stiffens, his blades wobbling as he stops to look over his shoulder. “Excuse me?”
Maki’s holding his stare. He’s got long lashes, and Taki’s starting to think good things really do happen to jerk people. “Would it kill you to lighten up? We don’t wanna be here either.”
-
Out of all the challenges he faces as figure skater, Taki would humbly put being forced to share a rink with the local hockey club at the very top of the list. Particularly the team’s new defender, a rough and tumble boy with distracting dimples and a smart mouth.
Who also manages to bowl Taki over on the very first day.
(or: taki is a figure skater with something to prove to himself. maki is a hockey player with something to prove to everyone else. they collide. literally.)

Summary
"And so it ended up being just Kei, Euijoo and Jo meeting in the vast hall of the Shibuya train station with their bag and suitcase on a cold, fuzzy tuesday morning. [...]
Jo had thought back to the night he had accepted, had sent the message, a simple "I would love to come". He had agreed, for many reasons, for the peace that came with the sea, for the inexplicable loneliness of summer, but also because he was curious, eternally, about who Taki was."OR : The cliché of summer and getting swallowed by devotion, but make it JoTaki.
