Katsuki is 5 when everything starts to turn sour. He had gotten into a fight with another kid, it wasn’t his fault. The kid had pushed him down. And he got back up. He got back up because if he was going to be the number one hero he had to get back up. His mother is called into the school. She looks at him.. wrong.
Different.
She sours too.
The Bakugou’s had never been affectionate, Katsuki knows this and doesn’t mind it. It’s normal after all.

He didn't want him to commit. Because Shinsou could see the end while Bakugou's eyes were still pinned to the road and the feeling blooming in his chest as he raced it with Kirishima.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.

They took the long way home, enjoying the sounds of the wind in the trees and the chirping of cicadas in the quiet street. Eijirou walked so close to Katsuki that their shoulders bumped every so often. If it wasn’t clear that Eijirou had feelings for him before, Katsuki was damn sure now. He didn’t say anything though, it seemed as though Eijirou had some semblance of a plan and he didn’t want it to end quite yet. He had waited two years for this, he could wait a couple more hours.
