As his only response, Adachi fixed his eyes on a yellowish stain covering part of the opposite wall, without blinking.
“Are you going to keep going like this?” Desperate to see a glimpse of life in his body, he was trembling. “I'm risking my job to take care of the guy who… Damn it, look at me!”
