I remember tracing lazy circles against his spine, feeling the ridges of it beneath my finger tips. Feeling each vertebra beneath my fingertips and counting them without realizing I was counting.
I remember wondering, briefly, how many falls that spine had survived after so many years of working as a stuntman. Human beings talk endlessly about the heart like it was all that, but really, it's the spine, isn’t it?

Halfway across the world, Colt Gentry Seavers calls his twin brother to tell him he was coming home.
At the Compound, Tony Stark is put on (unnecessary) probation and now has a very familiar, very brooding shadow on his heels.
And in the middle of it all, Peter Parker, is weirdly insistent on being on the field trip to UC Berkeley, and also weirdly against Grace being a student chaperone for it. Whatever that meant.
