  The beginning of the series "The Revachol Case Files"

  A man returns. This is not remarkable – men return to places all the time. They return to apartments, to jobs, to mistakes they swore they'd left behind. But this man returns to a precinct that carries his damage in its walls, and on the morning he walks back through the door, he finds another returning man in the basement.

  That one didn't make it.

  Something is missing from the files of Precinct 41. Pages torn. Connections severed. A pattern erased so carefully it looks like nothing was ever there – unless you're the kind of person who notices the shape of absence. Gaël Bronson was that kind of person. It cost him everything.

  Now Harry Du Bois is sitting at the dead man's desk, reading the dead man's notes, chasing the dead man's ghost through decades of institutional silence. He has a partner who carries a flashlight and a binder. He has a captain who shuffled him this case like a grenade with the pin half-pulled. He has nineteen days of sobriety and a thought taking shape in his skull that he can't yet name.
  Something is rotting in the walls of Precinct 41, and it has learned to clean up after itself.

  Summary

  At just 14 years old, Izuku Midoriya was abducted by a villain whose quirk trapped him in a deep coma. While his body remained unresponsive, his mind was cast into a simulated world. A brutal, war-torn reality unlike anything he had ever known. Though heroes eventually rescued his body, they were unable to wake him without risking catastrophic consequences due to the quirks unique nature.
  For Izuku, however, a single year in the real world meant over 30 years of relentless survival in that alternate universe. In this harsh dimension, he endured countless battles, rose through the ranks, and ultimately became the Captain of humanity’s most elite special forces unit. When he finally awoke, seemingly without explanation, the world welcomed back a 15 year old boy. But what returned was a seasoned warrior, carrying the scars, experience, and strength of a lifetime spent at war.

  Definitely go check it out, as its one of my favorite fics to date.
