Summary
The school had alphas. Not teachers. Kids. Alpha kids. Eleven-year-olds who'd presented early and discovered that their voices could make other kids do things, and thought this was hilarious.
Tyler Morgan was the worst of them. Big kid, loud, had figured out the Tone by October and spent the rest of the year using it like a toy. His favorite trick was kneel. He'd catch an omega in the hallway and drop the Command — kneel — and watch them go down. It got him suspended twice. He kept doing it.
Jason has a choice between autonomy and language. He likes choices.
