Summary
“Satomi-kun,” Kyouji swallowed, his throat clicking. He nodded toward his black leather overnight bag. “There’s a pill bottle in my bag.” His voice sounded dull to his ears. Sitting down on the futon had instantly robbed him of the ability to put any kind of energy into speaking.
“Where?” Satomi said, already unzipping Kyouji’s bag, shuffling through the contents.
“Inside pocket.” A stupid thing, to come back here because it’s where his things were. His possessions kept so carefully packed away, neatly gathered so as not to leave pieces of himself strewn about Satomi’s apartment, cluttering up his life with mess that didn’t belong to him. Kyouji should have picked up his bag and left. He shouldn’t have come back here at all.
Kyouji tries, and fails, to forget.

"I hate it," Satomi gripes. "I hate you." What he means is I hate your life, I hate that you didn't tell me you were hurt, I hate that you're acting like it's not a big deal, I hate that you think you have to protect me, I hate that I'm forced to wonder if you've died in a ditch somewhere every time you don't text me back, I hate that I'm entirely yours, but you're not entirely mine.
Or, Kyouji shows up to Satomi's apartment with take out and two black eyes.

“But…” Argenti paused. There was something kinda funny about his expression. “My friend, why are you naked?”
“Huh?” Boothill stared harder at Argenti, who wasn’t meeting his eyes. “It don’t exactly count, do it?” He gestured at the smooth metal surface of his body, mostly submerged in the water. It ain’t like he had the usual parts folks were shy about.
A look passed over Argenti’s face that he didn’t quite get. It was almost…offended? Then he said, “How can you say that?” and Boothill heard the offence loud and clear in his voice.

Summary
After weeks of alternating between hazy, barely living disconnect and acute agony, Satomi decides something has to give. He can't just wait for his feelings to change—that's as pointless as waiting for Kyouji's boss to die. He has to take action. He has to try and get over it. Move on.
