What would happen... if Marinette found comfort through Lila? If she held her hand, if she leaned onto her shoulder, if she gave her soft kisses to offer her comfort… Then the miraculous would be handed out to her so easily. No need to fight for them.
It was the perfect plan.
Or
Cerise decides to play nice and try to trick Marinette into a relationship with her for the sake of stealing the Miraculous. Marinette might not buy it at first, but at least one of them might end up falling for the other.

Every part of your amazing life is just one lie after another! And despite what you convinced Alya to put on the Ladyblog, Ladybug has never saved your life!” Marinette ranted, “Maybe you do want to be my friend, but I don’t like people that lie for the own personal gain! So, the only way we’ll ever be friends is if you stop lying!”
By the time Marinette finished, she almost had Lila pressed up against the bathroom wall, and with every word the akuma moved closer and closer to her.
Lila seemed scared, her posture small, but then she sighed, straightened up, and the performance dropped, “Alright.”
Marinette froze, her anger, her frustration, all of it almost seemed to vanish. Shock and confusion replacing it, “…What?”

Summary
Her mouth is full of something. She swallows, unthinking, but it gradually fills up again. It takes her a few tries to realize it is blood. Her right eye is gushing blood.
Her mom is on the floor in the kitchen. Ragatha stares at her. Her mom’s face is scalded, brilliant red, and portions of it are already bubbling up with blisters. The jamming pot is dented on the floor, the glass jars smashed across the kitchen tile. The gas stove burns merrily away. A shard the length of Ragatha’s pinky finger protrudes from her mom’s throat. She is unmoving. She looks a little like a mannequin.
My mom is dead, Ragatha thinks, vaguely. It is not particularly believable. My mom is waiting, she thinks, and that seems more fitting.
Ragatha loses an eye. She has a couple of bigger problems.
