Summary
"My mom said war will be declared soon," Clarke said, not taking her eyes off Lexa's shoulder. "Do you think we'll get deployed?"
"I certainly hope so," Lexa answered. "The war would be a great place to prove ourselves."
She watched Clarke frown, and Lexa took her friend's hands in her own.
"The war will be good for the village. My family's shop gets a ton of business with the memorial flowers and deliveries, your mom's hospital gets a ton of business taking care of wounded shipped back, and you and I can finally do something."

Octavia was woken by the soft rustling of dirt being moved above her. The sound was methodical, growing louder and closer, before the thud of the shovel hitting her coffin lid signaled the start of her new life. Indra had come for her.

Summary
She wakes up cold, surrounded by steady, mechanical beeping and fluorescent lights. Her world is blurry, as if her eyes were accustomed to seeing. Unaccustomed to doing their job. Her out of focus eyes begin to dial in on the nearest thing in the room: a woman with long, light brown hair and pale pink scrubs. A nurse.
She doesn’t know where she is, but she does know she shouldn’t be there. Shouldn’t be here. Her eyes dart to her left arm, to the IV. But they catch on something else. A barcode etched into her arm in ink. Something about it is familiar, but not comforting. It turns her stomach as she reads the numbers in her mind, like it was etched into her mind with ink as well: 0883929444793. The numbers rattle around in her brain, searching for somewhere to latch on, for some memory to link the familiarity. But it finds nothing. -

Summary
The wind nipped at Murphy’s nose as he stood in the doorway of the gas station on the edge of town. Work was slow, as it always was after sundown, especially in the mid-December cold, but someone had to make sure the good townsfolk of Arkadia could get their milk and gas after the small general store closed. All 800 of them. He watched the cars drive by throughout the day, recognizing each and everyone of them. Bellamy’s beat up truck he worked all highschool to afford, Clarke’s clean new sedan, even that jerk Finn’s loud ass motorcycle. He watched them all pass one by one, his old classmates returning home after another semester of college at the University of Polis. The only sign that time was passing at all.
The phone inside rang, breaking him out of his melancholy, at least for now.
“Great,” he thought, sarcastically. “A phone call 10 minutes before we close.”
He walked back inside and put on the most cheerful customer service voice he could muster.
“Dropship Gas, this is Murphy. How can I he-”
A familiar female voice cut him off, leaving him cold.
“Murphy? Thank god!”
It was his ex.
