Summary
Abby knows she’s not finding love on Love Island. It’s six weeks. She’s here to find a career: the seed money to start her own PR firm and the (hopefully) massive following that’ll have future clients salivating to have. And, of course, have a little fun while she does it.
She will not get stuck in her first couple, but America will know her as discerningly loyal. The key, she figured, was going to be finding someone smart enough (or dopey enough, she supposed) to do this with her. He’ll need to be devastating and charming, without being swarmy. He’ll need to -
Someone taps on the tinted window. It’s show time.

Where Mel's entrance into Casa Amor throws a wrench into Abby's (almost) flawless plan to win Love Island.

“You wanna sext me at work?” He leans back, raising his eyebrows. “That’s part of your plan to help me deal with keeping my hands to myself there?”
“I-I guess you’re right. I just thought it’s one of the only times we’re not— well, we’re not like this. Maybe that isn’t— I mean, if it’s a problem we can just—”
“It’s not a problem,” he cuts her off with his mouth.

It's no fault of her own, Mel reasons, that she finds herself subdropping for him in the middle of their fucking work place break room.

"Oh my God," Mel breathes, turning to look at Frank. "That's a baby."
A weird, blob-like shape resembling a baby that will be a baby, at least. Their baby.
"Wow," he says from where he stands at her shoulder, but his voice is thick, and she looks up to find his eyes wet, glistening against the light from the screen. "Holy shit, Mel, that's our baby."
Mel grapples with her impending motherhood amidst caring for her sister, a fellowship program, and missing her own mom. Frank is the support she needs.

Summary
"Is this what you want?" Mel asked, eyes searching his face so urgently he could barely track them.
Frank sighed, stretching out his neck and closing his eyes. "It's what she wants—"
"You, Frank," Mel interrupted. "I don't care about Abby. What do you want?"
He wet his lips, rubbing them together as he watched her sit with a hand on the door, ready to leave the car at any given moment. Then, he nodded. "Yeah," he said simply. "I want this."
She shook her head, gathering her bag from by her feet and pushing the door open. "Then have it," she said, forcing herself out. "Just don't expect me to watch."

Summary
All things considered, it was probably for the best that Mel King was a Beta. She couldn't imagine being overwhelmed by scent and instinct 24/7 like an Alpha or an Omega, so she really couldn't be too upset on that front. Not to mention also the other social layers to the designations, no thank you.
Being a Beta was safe and boring. Dr. Langdon didn't seem to mind befriending them either, so that was a plus.
As hectic as the Pitt could be, the return of her favorite doctor did a lot for Mel's peace of mind, even if he smelled kind of good and was kind of too nice to her. He was a little bullheaded about it, but that's just how Alphas were. Right? Yeah.

Summary
“Trinity thinks I should find a date for the gala.”
Frank sputters, coughing into the crook of his elbow, and when he straightens, there’s a dribble of blue Gatorade falling down the corner of his mouth that he wipes away before Mel has the chance to point it out. She drops her hand, frowning as she watches him attempt to recover, with half a mind to laugh at how silly he looks; though she can’t help but feel she’s missed some sort of joke.
“Are you okay?”
“Yes, yup. I’m good. It, uh- went down the wrong way.”

Summary
You think you know the story of the legendary rivalry between The Fiends and Bitterhearts, two rock bands forced to go on tour together in the late-1980s, but it turns out there’s more to it than anyone could’ve ever bargained for. Including the members of the bands themselves.
Mel and Frank don’t mean to fall in love, but once they do, there’s nothing that can stop the catalyst that follows. And they might say they regret it, but if there’s one thing you can count on from a rockstar, it’s lies.
