In his own prefecture, Hiromi Higuruma is known to be one of the most capable defensive lawyers on the field, if not the best in terms of knowledge alone; this, however, is but a scrape on the perfectly neat surface of his self, and the only part the world is allowed to look at.
Underneath, as often happens to a man that gets too invested in his job, grows like moss a negligence for his personal life, his desires and beliefs; everything that had kept him from going astray in many years of practice begins to crumble slowly, trial after trial.
This is why, he assumes anyone's therapist would say if he actually cared for paying one, he starts to see things.
Creatures, shadows, inexplicable trails of blood that lead nowhere; and then screams, voices and a ever growing feeling of something creeping under his skin, something powerful and revolting like rotten flesh.
He thinks he is going crazy, until he meets a strange looking man that claims to be a detective working on a close case of his.
After that, he is sure to be going crazy.
