Summary
The Underworld should be in a time of prosperity and joy- the denizens of the Damned have more work and opportunities than ever with the reconciliation of the Royal Family bringing reforms and even a new princess to the realm. Instead, in the wake of Prince Zagreus fully growing into his birthright and powers as the God of Blood, devastation strikes. Chronos has awoken, and captured the House of Hades on his crusade upwards towards Mount Olympus. With Persephone and the young princess Melinöe uncaptured but nowhere to be found, the plight of the House seems doomed to be seen as yet another odd, silent era of the Underworld to the Olympians... unless someone could change that.
Perhaps ironically, it seems what the Underworld needs once more is time, and a wayward young royal.

The Shade came closer, and it was… taller than Melinoe. The only Shade that she knew was taller than her was Odysseus but he had retained his human form. This Shade was still ghostly.
Melinoe had once tried to liberate this Shade to the Crossroads but even though her incantation was successful, he just refused to leave.
(How did she know the Shade was a he?)
“You’re like a golden retriever.” She laughed as she capped her water pouch. “And I don’t mean it as an insult! You follow me every time I enter Tartarus is all.”
The Shade glowed a brighter red like it was trying to smile. Melinoe smiled back, albeit a bit smaller than what the Shade was trying to show.
