“Why is this such a big deal to you?” Adam hissed. Ronan could feel Adam’s hand like a brand through the thin fabric of his shirt. They were entirely alone, in the corridor that led toward Ronan’s room and music studio - the doors to which were both firmly locked, so no one would linger around - and all of Ronan’s thoughts were bad. Adam continued on, “Why can’t you just let it go? You hate me. Act like it.”
He’d never hated Adam. His heart was just the worst kind of weapon, sharp-edged and mean and willing to cut anyone that fell on it, cruel in the way that harmed him more than anyone else. He didn’t know what to do with himself, ever.
He took the time to think to himself, 'this is the worst thing you’ve ever thought of doing, Lynch.'
[AKA Adam and Ronan are rival musicians that never hate each other. If you could call that tension between them 'hate', anyway.]

Summary

Blue made a pained noise, “I know you don’t like him but please just come with me. Just this once. You know how much he hates parties. Declan’s making him throw it for his birthday. He’ll probably get pissed and demand everyone leave under threat of violence an hour in. Y’know, like he did last time.”
