Summary
High school should be the best time of Katara's life -- her brother certainly feels that way -- but after being ostracized by her popular friends, things aren't looking so good for her junior year. On the other hand, Zuko already hates high school and is just counting down the days until he can get out.
In order to make this anything other than the worst year on record, they'll have to contend with malicious siblings, overenthusiastic jocks, the worst friends imaginable, and, most insurmountably ... each other.

A slow burn about two people on opposite sides of the same coin, and what happens when the thing you've made peace with stops staying peaceful.

Meanwhile, Azula is abandoned by her father to fulfill the thankless task of ruling the Fire Nation while he pursues further glory.
Five years later, a seer's vision sets in motion events that, one way or another, will bring the war to an end.

The Painted Lady froze, turning her head to stare at him through the crack in her veil.“I am just as much a spirit as you are,” she said, gazing out over the river.
The Blue Spirit always manages to help her when she needs him. How, she hasn’t a clue. But boy, is she thankful.

At first, she barely trusts him, but somewhere along the way, she starts to realize Zuko isn't what she thought he was.
She keeps reminding herself it will end once they reach the city, but in a place crowded with millions of refugees and stuck in the Lower Ring, she doesn’t have much hope of finding her friends. With no leads and nowhere else to go, she resolves to wait for them to find her. But in their cramped apartment, the days turn into weeks, and the longer they stay, the harder it becomes to remember where the act ends and something real begins.

Summary
It was a brilliant plan, all things considered.
On paper and in the eyes of the public, they were a charming if oddly mismatched couple who somehow found love despite their differences. A fairy tale come to life, sighed the more romantic members of Ba Sing Se society.
So it was almost a shame that Katara's courtship with Prince Zuko was ultimately nothing more than an act - otherwise, they might have been a perfect match, if not the perfect partners in crime.
