Summary
"Herm doesn't stutter in the field. He hasn't stuttered on an active comms channel in weeks. Not unless you're talking to him."
Robert’s froze. The gears in his brain grinding to a sudden stop. "...What?"
---
Robert is used to managing the worst disasters the city can throw his way. But what’s a cynical, battered former hero supposed to do when faced with the one hazard he can't strategize his way out of—a water-controlling powerhouse with a cripplingly obvious crush on him?

Summary
The words had been something like ‘bet you could put that down your penis’, because of course Herman had said penis, and of course the clearest thing he’d said in days was a mistake that he surely did not want to actually say.
“Uh! Sorry! I don’t— I didn’t mean to say, um, let that out.”
Robert tipped his head backwards to look at Herman, snorting at the man’s bright red face.
“I can pretend I didn’t hear it, if you want.”

Summary
It takes a moment for Stu’s vision to come back into full focus. He’s glad it does, because it means he gets to see the finer details of Billy’s face—lips barely parted, loose strands of hair obscuring the remainders of brown iris that haven’t been completely eclipsed by wild, dilated pupils.
Stu wipes his nose. The back of his hand comes away red. “Again,” he says, grinning ear-to-ear. He leaves it up to Billy to interpret that as another kiss or another punch.
or,
A brief history of all the times Billy has punched Stu in the face.

Summary
Raskolnikov is tormented beneath the weight of his secret, troubled with fever and moral torture. At his side, ever steadfast, is, as always, Razumikhin—friend, guardian, and a light breaking through the oppressive darkness of his delirium. Yet devotion, when pressed against the raw edges of suffering, grows perilous. Tenderness blurs into longing, longing into transgression.
As Raskolnikov teeters between confession and concealment, his bond with Razumikhin becomes both his salvation and his undoing—a desperate intimacy forged in sweat, tears, and fevered delirium. It is his refuge against the harsh cold and yet a fire that threatens to consume them both.
Shame wrestles with devotion, punishment with desire, and friendship with a passion that dares not speak its name.
