The technodrome had exploded, leaving behind a ringing in his ears and a pinkish-blue sky that Donnie might have normally thought of as beautiful. Now he could only stare in horror as the clouds dissipated.
Something in him hoped Leo had survived. That their comms would crackle to life and he'd be safe on the other side of the city somewhere. He'd probably tell some sort of stupid joke about how they were all stuck on Staten Island while he was living it up in Manhattan.
But that didn't happen.

Summary
A normal mission ends with Leo questioning his place on the team. Mystic rings are not to be trifled with.
This is mid-s2 (specifically right before the hidden city episodes!), so Leo's portaling skills and overall ninjocity are basically nonexistent.
