Summary
It is 1815 during the Napoleonic Wars and the cannibals have overrun Paris. The cannibal outbreak can no longer be hidden from the public after all these years and have snuck their way into some of the largest cities in Europe. Jean, a French soldier, goes on a rescue mission in Paris and assists Parisians to safety, but in the meantime higher-ranking officials and notable political figures seem to have disappeared and/or have died, leaving some of the last remaining low-ranking military men to become leaders for their nations. Due to Jean's successful mission in Paris, he is set in charge of most of the remaining French army, finding himself to be in one of the most difficult jobs during the most difficult times in human history. Teaming up with soldiers and men from the diverse nations of Europe, Jean does what's best for his people and searches for a safe haven for all.
(Note: Please pay attention to the tags and how they say CANON DIVERGENCE. In this case, none of the NPCs have died in this universe. Also I should mention the majority of this is just found family with drama o_o)

Once he found himself a secluded area to die in, he takes out his pen and paper, and begins to write.
Not just for those who will inevitably discover him, but for one man who Jean couldn't bear to leave without at least a proper farewell.
