Mydei barely met his eyes, forcing a tight smile. “I’m fine, Phainon,” he returned, perhaps a little too quickly. “Why wouldn’t I be?”

Summary
Al-Haitham isn’t exactly sure how this came to be. This sickening churn in his stomach that he felt every time they talked. Hell, they didn’t even need to talk. Just seeing him, laying his eyes on the blonde for even just a second, was enough to ensue this nauseating sensation.

Summary
Kaveh genuinely believed someone like Al-Haitham would never understand the struggles of someone who wasn’t born intellectually gifted because he was too arrogant. But to be completely honest, and Kaveh hated to admit this, he was just insanely jealous of Al-Haitham. And rightfully so, because throughout his years in university, his grades had remained consistent while all his peers worked their asses off just for them to barely pass, if they were lucky.
Until today, at least.
Kaveh realises Al-Haitham’s academic success isn’t as straightforward as it seems.
