It's been three years since Baal first left. Three years for the high school she knew to completely change. Along with her cousins, the people she called her friends - everything.
Now back for a new year at Teyvat High, Baal learns to adjust to the new changes thrown in her face, along with the lingering ghosts of her past hovering over her back.
But it's not just her struggling to adjust to the new year. With a whole year ahead of them, the students of Teyvat High prepare for a rocky year. Not only that, but strangely enough, along with Baal's surprise return, everything seems to decide to go wrong, for everyone.
And it's hard to cope with it all. It really is.

Only a week into a new year at Teyvat High, and Albedo's life is already spiralling downhill thanks to his little sister (AKA an up-and-coming arsonist), and having a crush on one of his best friends certainly doesn't help.
(Oh, and everyone else is there as well, dealing with their own romances, struggles and the worst part of it... homework. Hopefully they all can make it to the end of the year without anything getting any worse than it already has.)
(Spoiler alert: they won't, but that's the fun of it, isn't it?)

Summary
"Don't go back to sleep," Dazai says, and there is a surprising hint of demand in his voice. Chuuya feels something at the end of the bed sag, signifying Dazai has finally sat down, for whatever reason he does anything.
"Wasn't gonna," Chuuya grunts. His head is swimming, and he can't think. "But why?"
He hears an intake of breath from Dazai's direction, and shifts to try and see his silhouette in the dark. "Chuuya," says Dazai, suddenly serious. "You were trying to activate Corruption in your sleep."

“Hey, shitty Dazai, let’s go out.”
Dazai, who started to walk again after composing himself from their almost crash, stumbled a bit on his next step while his head snapped in Chuuya’s direction with an alarming crack. He regarded Chuuya with one curious eye, then he chuckled.
“Don’t be silly chibi, we are already outside. Your tacky hat is clearly eating your bra–”
Chuuya’s irritation flared anew. From the corner of his eye, he could clearly see the two figures coming closer and closer, and he knew he had only mere seconds until the inevitable would happen.
“No, you fucker. I meant, go out with me,” Chuuya pressed on, throwing all his pride and dignity out of the window, then he gulped around the dry cotton suddenly clogging up his throat before he uttered his next words. “As in, date me for the week.”

Several things click into place at once in Izuku's mind. Midoriya-san’s words. The words inscribed on the inside of the ring he wore. Kacchan’s jealousy—and it was jealousy, wasn’t it—over the idea of any version of Izuku marrying someone (someone who might not be him).
Look a little closer, that’s what future Izuku said, and that means—that can only mean, Kacchan isn’t going to start loving Izuku in some distant, far-flung future.
He already does.
A quirk accident sends back a version of Izuku from ten years in the future.
