(Which was how Ronan settled he was surrounded by absolute dick heads and losers, and also assholes, and maybe Noah didn't count because when Ronan told him, hey, I kind of used your identity and student number to get into a guy's pants, Noah nodded with a quick, cool, and went back to the task at hand—you know, like a fucking grownup.)

"Divine rituals are a real reason that people used bondage,” Gansey says diplomatically. Ronan looks at him like he’s never said anything more stupid in his life. He still hasn’t answered Ronan’s question of why he wants to try it.
He makes the mistake of catching Adam’s eye. He seems to be close to getting it. “It’s- it’s supposed to be meditative,” Gansey relents. “It’s been said to have a calming effect on some people.”
“And you’re some people,” Adam concludes. Gansey doesn’t nod, but the way he smiles superficially is confirmation enough.
