In the moonlight, Gepard’s smile is one of the most beautiful things Jing Yuan thinks he’s ever seen. “I think it’s nice that they care about you. They are all a little eccentric, but I think that comes with the title of Genius.”
“Oh? You find me eccentric then?”
“Well…” Gepard’s flustered face delights him and he shuffles closer to the man to press a kiss to his cheek.
The story of two men who found each other.
Or; No one ever questioned if Jing Yuan was blessed by the Hunt. It was an assumed fact, given his position and his dedication. The room is crowded. There are too many people, there is too much noise. He shouldn't even be here in the first place but nevertheless, he is. He’s a soldier. He’s not meant for this.
At least he’s not alone in his misery, though the other man seems far too happy.
“I didn’t think you would be one for these things.” The man hums, tapping on his phone for a moment longer. His lips quirk as he locks his phone, sliding it into his pants pocket.
“Oh, certainly not. However, with a position like mine, you have to get used to it. Fu Xuan makes sure that if she has to suffer, so do I."

Two men in the middle of the ballroom, talking. Something big will happen soon but for now, they stand and talk and drink and eat.
