Summary
“Your butchery of the English language astounds me.” Damian says, sliding into the seat.
“Second language.” Dick replies. “Can’t be blamed for my mistakes.”
Damian sniffs pretentiously as Dick starts up the car and gets them on the road, the reprimand already on his tongue. “Don’t be foolish, Richard, you have mastered a number of languages and are perfectly capable of speaking them as they were intended to be spoken, as I do. Making excuses as such is undignified.”
Dick hums, amused. “I think there was actually a compliment in there. You’re getting soft, baby bat.”
Damian’s scandalized face is exactly as Dick pictured it. “I am not!”
…Bruce died. Bruce came back to life. The months between those moments don’t stop meaning something even if it would be easier if they did.
It’s up to Dick to reassemble his life and find a way to be a brother to the boy he considers his kid. It shouldn’t be a problem (except that it is) and where the hell is his sweater??

Summary
When the dust settled after Bruce's death, the only people who stayed behind to keep the city safe were Dick, Damian, and Steph. On their own, they're each a mess...but together they might be able to save themselves and their city.
OR:
Dick, Damian, and Steph become found family after Bruce dies and everyone abandons Gotham. Trauma bonding and zoo trips occur. (Steph and Damian are menaces, please come save Dick.)

Summary
Before Tim could say anything, the garage to the cave opened and in came two motorcycles. Spoiler and Batgirl had returned from patrol. Cass rode hers to a slow steady stop while Stephanie practically leapt off of hers before it even fully stopped. Running up to Dick, she yelled “WAFFLE DAY!” and leapt into his arms.
He shouted back “WAFFLE DAY!” and spun her around.
Or: Dick, Stephanie, and Damian confuse their siblings, eat delicious waffles, and wreck havoc- entirely in that order

He plasters his hands over his chest, right where his heart would be. He startles at the steady thumping in his body, and meets Dick’s gaze. His heart is beating, he’s alive, but he doesn’t feel alive. He drops his hands, and shrugs.
“Doesn’t mean anything.” he says stiffly.
“It means everything.” Dick counters, and moves forward to squeeze Jason’s hand briefly. “You’re my brother, you’re alive, and I love you.”
