Summary
Hydra worked out that they could manipulate the Winter Soldier more effectively if there were rewards as well as punishments, especially if those rewards were delivered by a blond man called Steve. Despite the large gaps in his memory, the Winter Soldier becomes aware that the more recent Steves are not the real Steve. The real Steve is long gone, replaced by a string of phonies.
He thinks this new Steve won't be any different from the others he vaguely remembers, but this new Steve doesn't seem to know the correct protocols. This new Steve has no clue what he's doing. It doesn't take the Winter Soldier long to realise that he doesn't want this Steve to be his handler, but he can't refuse his assigned handler, even if Sam would be much more effective.

Bucky Barnes never intended to become a single father at 25. But life has always enjoyed kicking him while he's down and it's showing no signs of stopping. A chance meeting with a brick wall of a guy named Steve in the formula aisle of the grocery store leads to a friendship it seems like both of them need. If only Bucky could remember that's all they are- friends. If only Steve didn't slot into their lives so perfectly and look so good spoiling Bucky's daughter (and Bucky, despite his protests).

Summary
Bucky, a freelance operative: codename Winter Soldier, has been working with the Avengers on the regular, which was great, he loved the extra cash, could hone skills he’d picked up in the army and no-one cared about his metal arm. Best of all he got to work with Captain America, a man out of time whose identity is shrouded in secret, which made having a big fat crush on him problematic, since no one knew the Winter Soldiers identity either. But this doesn't stop Bucky being drawn to Cap in a way he’d never felt before.
So it’s a surprise when Natasha drops off a small injured mystery man 'Grant' to him for protection and to patch up, that he finds himself utterly taken with the snarky man. Feelings he couldn’t work out as Grant was the worst patient, stubborn as hell and pushed Bucky’s buttons in all the wrong (and right) ways. He needed to figure out who Grant was, and what he had to do with SHIELD before he either killed or kissed him stupid.
Throw in Hydra’s infestation of SHIELD, unsanctioned science experiments, being hunted and keeping identities secret, all while trying not to fall helplessly in love with a man who had more secrets than the Pyramids. Bucky’s simple life was now anything but.

Summary
When Derek first finds out, it's a rainy thursday that reflects his mood perfectly. He's been oddly dizzy lately, with bouts of nausea that don't make any sense to him, and he's pretty sure he's never slept as much as he is now, not even as a carefree teenager. He thumps his forehead gently against the table top, willing the water he drank not five minutes ago to stay down. He's rubbing his head on the wooden surface when he hears it.
There's a soft thump thu-thump coming from somewhere near him. He lifts his head slowly, as not to make the world spin and tries to concentrate where the soft beat is coming from. Because it couldn't possibly be -
Derek cannot be -
With growing horror, he directs his eyes downwards, to his slightly softened belly. His hands have stilled on his skin, trembling lightly. The soft thump thu-thump comes again, and again, and again, the sound getting louder with each soft flutter, until the pulse matches Derek's own. It's almost mesmerizing, a beautiful cadence that flutters in and out of rhythm of Derek's own heartbeat.
--Or the one where there's a misunderstanding of the century, a little angst, a surprise baby and a deliriously happy ending.
