Summary
At the dawn of quirks, soulmates became prevalent. Marks that would appear one one’s skin either at birth or at a seemingly random moment of time. Eventually, scientists discovered that the bond - or mark - would only appear when the youngest of a pair was born.
Not everyone would get a mark.
Much like quirks.
Quirks were in fact a different phenomenon, most people believed that the first quirk came from a glowing baby born in a small time Shanghai hospital.
Most people were wrong.
The first quirk came from a baby, born deprived of oxygen, yet miraculously living less than a second later. A recovery time so fast that no doctor noticed it.
/OR/Izuku Midoriya is Immortal and doesn't want a soulmate. Then Bakugo Katsuki comes along.
