Summary
This is a short post-Orison fic.
After the attack, Scully chooses to remain in her apartment. She is struggling with a profound sense of lost control in every sense of the word: Pfaster’s intrusion, the physical restraint, and even the act of killing him, which leaves her feeling displaced from her own agency. Leaving the apartment feels, to her, like an acknowledgment that Pfaster still holds a presence there, in the space that should be hers.
Mulder, in turn, decides that if she stays, he will stay with her.
That night, Scully attempts to reclaim control in a way that ultimately leaves her feeling even more hollow. In the aftermath, Mulder helps her begin to understand what control actually is, and what it is not.

Summary
A routine patrol turns into every officer's nightmare when Lucy Chen's shop is struck by a speeding vehicle during a pursuit. The collision leaves her trapped inside the crushed patrol car, pinned beneath twisted metal and unable to move.
Tim Bradford reaches the scene within minutes. Close enough to hear her voice. Close enough to hold her hand through the shattered window. But unable to get her out.
As fuel leaks, emergency crews race against time to stabilize the wreckage while Lucy's condition deteriorates. Trapped in the wreckage, she struggles to stay conscious as pain, fear, and the possibility of dying alone begin to overwhelm her.
Tim refuses to leave her side.
For three agonizing minutes that feel like a lifetime, he becomes her anchor—keeping her talking, making promises, and desperately hiding his own terror as he watches the woman he loves fight to survive.
When Lucy is finally extracted, her injuries are far worse than anyone expected, leading to emergency surgery and an uncertain recovery.
