Summary
In a world that is plagued by war and famine there is one man who has the power to commune with the Gods. Matthew Murdock is a High Priestess in the church of Bereus, headed by Archbishop Stick. When forces attempt to stop his powers, the Lux Custos must be appointed to ensure his safety.
Francis Castle is a simple farmer and outsider who never really considered himself worth much after the war left him dishonored and scarred. Loyal to the congregation and the Gods and that is all. He does not expect to be brought forth for a different calling.
