Gojo silently clicks to the next side. “im a poor pitiful child of 20 having my dreams thwarted…pity me…” read this slide’s text box. There’s an accompanying badly drawn, pixelated image of some poor child wailing with a blown-up broken heart emoji over the kid’s head.
“Geto Suguru,” Gojo thunders, “I am unfortunately only left with you for my choice of companion. Like it or not, if I want to travel and complete my thesis, you need to come with me. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make this arrangement work.”
Geto really, really does not want to have any sort of relation to Gojo Satoru at all. He ends up globetrotting with him anyways as his unwilling dining companion and very enthusiastic horrible food partner.

Robby really hadn't meant for any of this to happen.
There was a bassline throbbing distant in the house, the buzz of a party on the floor below, and yet the room they were in was dark, quiet, private. The only light was the dim glow of a lava lamp on the dresser directly in front of where Robby was sitting, the purple wax erupting into oozing globs every time he glanced at it, and it illuminated two things: one, a giant tapestry of The White Album hung behind the dresser; two, the bobbing head of the man between Robby's legs.

When his phone rang loud in the stillness, waking Jack from the sleep of the dead he'd perfected in war zones half a world away, he sat straight up in bed and knew: something was wrong.
His phone announced it was Dana—and it was 0721—which shot a little thrum of worry through him as he answered. "What happened?" he asked, no preamble. She wouldn't wake him if shit hadn't gone sideways.
"Robby hasn't come in yet and he's not answering his phone," she said, voice grim. "He's never missed a shift without calling." She spoke quietly, probably standing in the middle of the ED, trying to keep up a brave face for everyone else. As much as she could, anyway. People tended to notice when the fucking chief attending didn't show up to work.
