Summary
At the height of their meteoric success, Beomgyu's band, Eternity, seemingly has it all: millions of fans across the globe, a nearly endless world tour, and a dozen award show wins under their belt. “Whatcha doin’, Tyun?” Soobin asked, much too casual for a boss. Taehyun had given up on trying to make him follow standard conventions when it came to manners. At any other company, Taehyun would be embarrassed for him. Soobin was the son of the founder, though, so Taehyun didn’t feel bad for him at all. It wasn’t like he’d gotten this job because of his propensity for being a good CEO. As his personal assistant, Taehyun did the CEO’s job. He didn’t get the CEO’s pay, though.
Well. Not legally, anyway.
“Sending an email to the finance manager,” Taehyun replied. “You forgot to sign off on this quarter’s supplier payments.”
Soobin slid the caramel macchiato across the lacquered desk toward Taehyun. “Oh, really?”
“Yeah. I’ve told you to do it at least three times this week.”
“Oh, that’s crazy. I must’ve been too busy staring at your handsome face to pay attention to what you were saying.”

Some background:
First, Choi Yeonjun is a third-year Dance major, close friend, and the object of his affections for the past two years (Soobin would interject, love at first sight, with disgust, though Beomgyu disagrees).
Second, this big fat crush he’s been harboring is preventing him from living his life to the fullest. College is supposed to be the time to explore, date and learn what you want in a relationship. He can’t do that when he’s only got eyes for one person.
Third, given the first two points, he’s come to the answer that he just needs to get over Choi Yeonjun.
The question is: how?
The answer: Sometimes, the best way to get over someone is to actually just date them. Or, in Beomgyu's hopeless case, ask them to help you practice dating. No, Beomgyu will not explain how that works.

The question is so sincere, as if that was an option they had, as if Beomgyu could say yes and Yeonjun could fix the way the world works just for him. Yeonjun's used that voice before, while assuring him he's talented, while assuring him he's deserving of what he has, while assuring him he's loved. It's the voice he uses on all of them, the solid, comforting reminder that even if their management didn't, Yeonjun would always put the members before anything else. Not as a team, but as family. He would tilt the Earth's axis if they asked him to.
But he couldn't. Yeonjun couldn't change the way the world worked, no matter how much he'd try. So why would he ask Beomgyu a question like that sincerely? Beomgyu's wanting would never change the roles they had to play.
