Summary
Ryland Grace loved many things about his life.
He loved his class. He loved teaching. He loved science. He loved his brother.
But he did NOT love watching Colt's stunts, as they terrified him greatly, but he still loved his brother enough to come to visit him in Montreal, Canada, for his latest shoot during the summer break. And he did NOT love the annoying actor who started flirting with him the moment they met, just to get under his brother's skin. And he did NOT love how that annoying actor started fawning over him and acting like a totally different person in private.
(OR: A typical Ryland visits Colt on set, Tom flirts with Ryland to piss Colt off, Tom catches genuine feelings, but doesn't wanna be a soft bitch around his people, so he reserves his genuine and kind character for Ryland in private.)

Summary
Rocky lived his happily ever after with Grace and Adrian. Until he died. And then woke up a week before the Blip A was meant to launch. He makes a few last minute changes.
Eva Stratt is not having a good day. It was hard enough dealing with the aliens trying to eat her sun. Now she has to deal with the other aliens that know much more about her and Earth than she's comfortable with. And they also claim to have the answer to the Astrophage problem, provided she's willing to hand Ryland Grace to them.
Grace wishes he could stop getting 'promoted' with no option to say no. At least his new job has better hours, if you could ignore the whole being stuck in space on an alien vessel thing.

Summary
To be honest, Grace did have his doubts about him.
When the new human first woke up, he punched Grace in the face and tried to run away. He didn’t speak for his first three days of being conscious. Not the best first impression.
Rocky, in the meantime, had one job. He was specifically tasked with building this new human a place to stay. Grace hadn’t made time for blueprints, too busy fumbling the situation that was his first real human in over fifteen years.
Grace didn’t realize ‘please build the new human a place to stay’ would be translated into ‘expand my home! the human will be living with me!’

“You can't be serious?” Carl asks.
“I don't do jokes. And someone has to keep an eye on him.”
He groans and runs a hand over his face.
“But why me?” It won't only be him, he knows. He'll have his team with him, a few trusted agents who he has worked with for years (and who are currently sneakily accepting chocolate covered peanuts from the teacher.)
But this still feels like a personal blow somehow. Did he do something wrong? Is this what he has been reduced to? A glorified babysitter for a scatterbrained teacher?
There is that half smirk on her face, the one that either enamors you or makes you shit your pants, depending on whether or not you are on her good side.
“You told him your name.” Her answer throws him and she can tell. He opens his mouth but she carries on. “Your real name.”

Carl is less than thrilled when he gets reassigned to babysit a teacher playing around with three dots in a glorified warehouse.
But at least this job should be rather uneventful.Boring even.
