Summary
“The shrine sleeps,” Hongjoong whispers in Jongho’s ear on a frigid night that seems to stretch on forever.
“Then one would expect me to sleep as well,” Jongho responds coldly, like the December snow falling upon the jangseung guarding the shrine. He turns under his blankets, pushing his face into the pillow. Hongjoong’s presence has become a nightly occurrence. He slips into Jongho’s quarters as the moon rises high and the bustle of the day is nothing but an aching memory. Jongho pretends he does not anticipate the gumiho, sometimes even climbing under his sheets prepared for sleep, but Hongjoong is hardly deterred. Every night they perform a small ritual to abate his hunger. Sometimes he leaves quickly, but other times he requests Jongho pluck a song on the haegeum or recite a poem. On rare occasions, only three times now, he asks for more.
Tonight would be the first time without ritual proceeding.
In which Jongho does not fear the fangs against his jugular.

Summary
Mingi is not good at a lot of things. He's very good at some things, however, like playing the bass guitar and making other people laugh. He's good at pretending and wondering and daydreaming and imagining something better. A world where maybe he could get paid for being in a cool punk band and Hongjoong would finally be happy and Yunho would be proud and so would Seonghwa. Where San and Wooyoung could afford to live in their town and Yeosang wasn't mad anymore and Jongho...
In a perfect world, Mingi would still be with Jongho, who was good at everything Mingi wasn't. Who kept Mingi's head screwed on tight. Who had screwed it on just enough for Mingi to be doing fine now. Better than before. He's doing better now... so why, after all these years, does Jongho's absence still hurt so bad?
In which time heals old wounds and opens new ones.

Song Mingi is a strange alpha. Jung Wooyoung is a strange omega. They've been being strange together for longer than Mingi would care to think about, and they've never called it anything more than it is – Just two members of the same gang having really good, no-strings attached sex. Mingi is good at no-strings attached. He has to be, given the skeletons he's got shoved in his closet and the string of ghosts haunting his past.
But there's only so much a man can deny before the reality of his feelings kick the door in with steel-toed-boots. Especially when that reality is brutally honest, sweet-smiled, impossible not to love Jung Wooyoung.
