Summary
Aziraphale interrupts his and Crowley’s vacation in Miami, in order to do a magic show at a child’s birthday party, at a community center. This leads to an argument between them, so Crowley doesn’t follow him inside the building. Instead he waits for him in the cafe across from it.
Dorothy and Rose are heading to the same party. They, too, have an argument, because Dorothy is sure that the coworker who asked for Rose’s help with the party, is only taking advantage of her kindness. Rose walks into the community center, while Dorothy can only wait at the cafe across from the building.
The story takes place in Miami, a couple of years after the failed Armageddon in the book timeline (early 90’s).

After talking to him, Rose wonders if there is a pet name that Dorothy would like, that she hasn't used.
She knows she can't ask Dorothy directly, because she would probably be too shy to admit she liked a pet name. Thus, she makes a list of pet names to use on Dorothy, intending to find out which ones she likes based on her reaction.
