Summary
The static noise of rain pouring beyond the doors of SDN is accompanied by dissapointment as Robert watches his routine of walking home drift away in the current. A sudden warmth grows behind him as Flambae approaches. He rams his shoulder into Robert's as he passes; the former standing at the threshold of the building whilst he thinks of solutions that aren't walking defeatedly through the rain.
The thought to help settles upon him uncomfortably naturally. He sighs, followed by an offer. He half-heartedly looks over his shoulder, meeting his eyes.
"You gonna follow or what, dimwit?" He inquired, with much disdain for both himself and Robert. Him and his stupid "charm", his stupid sarcastic wit, his stupid sly wit—".. Fine. I owe you, I guess." Robert spat out reluctantly, cutting through Flambae's inner muttering. While Flambae isn't his first choice, really ever, he's too tired to wait for an uber or walk home drenched in rain.. This decision was made with utmost contemplation that lasted about 10 seconds.
They find themselves in a shitty bar with booze and boredom. With that as their drive, they pry eachother open. Emotionally and physically.
