“You are despicable.” Ferdinand knew the words were dramatic the moment they came out of his mouth. He sounded like a Gothic heroine, gathering the tatters of her nightgown to her bosom as the villain leered over her. A corner of Hubert’s mouth tilted upwards. Awful man.
Two months after an ill-advised hook-up, Ferdinand and Hubert meet again - in a totally coincidental fashion! - at a charity ball.
