Summary
During the Gnosis exchange between Zhongli and Signora, the turth is revealed, blindsiding Childe in the worst way possible. The man who he'd seen as an ally and cherished comrade, is the Geo Archon. To Childe, this was the worst betrayal possible.
Upon the heartbreaking revelation he develops Hanahaki Disease, coughing up a petal infront of Zhongli and the other's at the bank. The sudden appearance of the once thought to be fictitious disease leaves everyone realing at the discovery.
Now, forced to navigate the betrayal and heartbreak, Childe declines rapidly in the face of his unresolved feelings. Having to battle with his innermost desires for Zhongli and the circumstances of their unstable relationship, begins to leave him far more broken than ever before.

Summary
Being a fox and having fox-like instincts was a whole new experience for Childe. He didn’t know how to handle it. He didn’t know who to turn to. He didn’t even know how to stop making these embarrassing sounds.
It was all Zhongli’s fault. Or should he say Morax or Rex Lapis?
This all started because of him. Because Childe just had to love him and accept him. He was lucky he escaped Liyue when he did. When Zhongli betrayed him was the last straw for him to stay in Liyue.
Childe was tempted. He was so tempted to give up being in the Fatui and being a Harbinger. He was so tempted to stay with Zhongli had he only asked him to.
But… instead, he was lied to and betrayed. It was too late to stop the process though. Childe was now in enemy territory with new instincts and a new form and he just couldn’t get a grip on it all. (He tried to ignore the fact that Skirk would be so disappointed in him)
